Compliance you can evidence

Hiring from an audited FASET member gives a principal contractor the same compliance evidence as any other competent appointment under CDM 2015 and the Work at Height Regulations 2005: qualified riggers, correct installation, valid test tags, and full inspection records throughout the hire. If a hired net arrests a fall it is taken out of service and inspected before further use, and replaced if necessary.

Is hiring cheaper than buying safety netting?

How long can I hire safety netting for?

Who inspects the net during the hire?

A competent person inspects at rigging and handover, then re-inspects every seven days while work continues above the net, and after adverse weather or any impact. The user should also carry out a visual check before each use.
